On the evening of June 14, Shenzhen University's "Lychee Garden Memory Music Festival · 10590 Graduation Concert" was held at Yuanping Gymnasium. Distinguished guests and leaders from the Nanshan District Party Committee of Shenzhen, the Communist Youth League Shenzhen Municipal Committee, the Hong Kong Security Bureau, Sina Shenzhen, and other units attended the event. Also present were Li Yonghua and Wang Yongcheng, Vice Presidents of Shenzhen University, and He Muyang, Vice Chairman of the China Musicians Association. They watched the performance together with graduates of the Class of 2026 and representatives of the faculty and current students of Shenzhen University.
Centered on the theme "Time Machine", the concert was divided into four chapters: "First Encounter", "Burning Youth", "Warm Memories", and "Set Sail". The concert featured a wide range of classic Chinese songs, includingLeaving the Earth's SurfaceandFull Name, alongside Cantonese golden hits and a medley of Beyond's tracks.
Li Yonghua, Vice President of Shenzhen University, joined hands with Yang Yang, baritone singer and faculty member of the university, to perform the songWishful Sticky Notes. In his speech, Li Yonghua congratulated all graduates on their successful completion of studies. He encouraged them to stay down-to-earth and keep striving along their future paths, adding that their alma mater always welcomes them back anytime.
Prior to the concert, the university set up a giant graduation graffiti board on the vast lawn in the Southern Area for teachers and students to leave messages. Outside the gymnasium, a host of creative installations were arranged, including a youth-themed interactive photo spot, mock social media photo frames, and vintage newspaper-style photo booths.
He Muyang, Vice Chairman of the China Musicians Association and Dean of the AI Music Research Institute, Shenzhen University, took the stage to sing his classic hitAbove theMoon.
Students from Hong Kong joined the Shenzhen University Lychee Voice Choir in performingBauhinia Blossoms, embodying the vision of young people from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area standing side by side and united as one.
At the closing segment of the concert, university leaders, faculty and student representatives, together with the university's international choir, stepped onto the stage to singAuld Lang Synein six languages, showcasing the open and inclusive spirit of youth at Shenzhen University.
