On the morning of June 15, Rodrigo Herrera Bravo, President of the Strategic Dialogues Foundation (Argentina), and his delegation paid a visit to Shenzhen University. Xu Bo, Party Secretary of Shenzhen University, met with the guests in Conference Room 205, Huiyuan Building on the Yuehai Campus. The two sides held discussions on deepening academic exchanges and cooperation.
Xu Bo extended a warm welcome to Bravo and his delegation. He noted that Shenzhen University has recently signed memorandums of understanding with the University of Buenos Aires, the National University of La Matanza, and the National University of the Delta in Argentina, laying a solid foundation for further inter-university collaboration. Xu Bo introduced that, founded more than 40 years ago, Shenzhen University has grown into a comprehensive university with distinctive features and considerable strength. The university maintains in-depth cooperative ties with enterprises including Huawei, Tencent, DJI, and BYD, and has established partnerships with over 300 higher education institutions across 58 countries and regions worldwide. He remarked that Argentina is a comprehensive strategic partner of China. As an important think tank, the foundation has played an active role in promoting academic exchanges between China and Latin America. He expressed the hope that both sides would take this visit as an opportunity to further expand cooperation and deliver tangible outcomes.
Bravo expressed gratitude to Shenzhen University for its thoughtful reception arrangements. He stated that the delegation comprises judges and legal professionals from multiple provinces of Argentina, marking the first visit of an Argentine judicial delegation to China. Bravo spoke highly of Shenzhen University's remarkable development achievements, praising the university's continuous pursuit of excellence at "Shenzhen Speed" and its cultivation of outstanding talents for the city. He said the foundation acts as a bridge linking universities and research institutions in China and Argentina. Looking ahead, the foundation will proactively expand exchanges and cooperation with Shenzhen University to advance academic exchanges and people-to-people cooperation between China and Argentina. He also mentioned that delegation members have a strong interest in the application of artificial intelligence in judicial administration, and look forward to the themed dialogue "Latin American Judiciary and Artificial Intelligence" to be held with the Law School of Shenzhen University that afternoon.
